SHURE PGX24/SM58 UHF DIVERSITY SM58 VOCAL MICROPHONE WIRELESS SYSTEM WITH HARDCASE
The Shure PGX24/SM58 system consists of the Shure PGX4 Diversity Receiver, Shure PGX2/SM58 Handheld Transmitter, AC Adapter, 2 AA Batteries, and Carrying Case.
The Shure PGX24/SM58 is probably the easiest wireless system to set up and use:
1. Connect Shure PGX4 receiver to mains.
2. Connect Shure PGX4 MIC OUT to mixer MIC input or Shure PGX4 LINE OUT to LINE input of mixer or amplifier.
3. Add 2 AA batteries to Shure PGX2/SM58 Handheld Transmitter.
4. Turn on Shure PGX4 and scan for a clear channel.
5. Push MUTE button on Shure PGX2.
6. Point IR Port of Shure PGX2 to Shure PGX4 and press the Shure PGX4's SYNC button for automatic transmitter setup.
7. The Shure PGX4's Green LED comes on and you are READY for wireless rock.
UHF operates in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wireless, UHF is well worth the extra cost.
SHURE PGX24/SM58 PGX4 UHF DIVERSITY RECEIVER
Ease of set-up, with Automatic Frequency Selection and Automatic Transmitter Setup, the Shure PGX4 is the quickest and easiest wireless system to set up. The Audio Reference Companding delivers level dependent companding, compressing the audio signal before transmission, and expanding it after reception to deliver greater than 100dB dynamic range. It sounds like a wired microphone, with less noise and greater dynamic range than other wireless systems.
The Shure PGX4 is a true diversity receiver with two antennas. The PGX4 continuously samples the output from the two antennas, and seamlessly selects the strongest signal, ensuring drop-out and interference free reception even in the most difficult RF spaces.
