AKG WMS 40 PRO SPORTS SET FLEXX UHF DIVERSITY WIRELESS MICROPHONE SYSTEM
The AKG WMS40 PRO Sports Set FLEXX UHF wireless system consists of the AKG PT40 FLEXX bodypack transmitter, SR40 FLEXX diversity UHF receiver, and a AKG C444 L head-worn microphone. The WMS40 PRO FLEXX operates on one of three selectable UHF frequencies.
UHF operates in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wireless, UHF is well worth the extra cost.
A diversity receiver employs two antennas each with an independent receiver where the signals are demodulated separately. The SR40 FLEXX receiver continuously compares the signal strength from each and seamlessly switches to the strongest signal, ensuring the optimum reception in the specific venue.
AKG C444 L HEAD-WORN MICROPHONE
The new C444 L head-worn microphone from AKG is rugged, extremely easy to use, and offers outstanding price/performance. Resting securely and comfortably on the head, the C 444 L is the ideal microphone for any hands free application including gymnastics instruction, presentations, or onstage performances. With its new cheek pads, the C444 L will stay in place even if you turn your head abruptly and a capsule shock mount reduces handling noise to a minimum. A frequency response rise at 10 kHz and rolloff below 800 Hz ensure optimum audio and intelligibility even in noisy environments. The new moisture shield that prevents perspiration from penetrating into the transducer and other design features provide optimum protection from moisture. The C444 L comes with mini XLR connector for use with B 29 L battery operated power supply, MPA III L external phantom power adapter, or AKG WMS bodypack transmitters.
