BURNS STEER CUTAWAY SEMI HOLLOWBODY GUITAR

Burns Steer Cutaway: A re-issue of the 1979 Steer electric guitar with a vintage twang from both pickups and a powerful, clean lead when only the bridge humbucker is used.

The solid Basswood body is routed out on both sides of the pickup cavity to not only make the guitar light but give it a more airy and earthy sound, fitted with a solid top and fitted with a Burns split humbucking pickup at the bridge which can be made single coil by the flick of the coil tap switch, and a high powered single coil at the neck.

Hollowbody electric guitars typically feature arched tops and are more likely to experience feedback when played at very high volume. Hollowbody guitars are favored by jazz guitarists for their full, round tone with robust bass response.
