The Tascam MP-BT1 is an MP3 player designed for the bass players. Based on the Tascam CD-BT1mkII CD guitar trainer, this MP3 version is a fantastic learning and practice tool. The MP-BT1 has 1 Gigabyte memory capacity, enough memory to store up to 240 songs. Bass parts can be slowed down, looped, and eliminated to help you learn new riffs. Variable Speed Audition slows the tempo down without changing pitch, allowing you to practice difficult parts. Sections of songs can be seamlessly looped for efficient work on tricky passages. Songs can even be pitched up or down so you don't have to re-tune your bass for every song. A Mix Balance slider allows you to to determine the relative Playback - Bass volume ratio in the output.

The 1/4-inch Hi-Z bass input lets you rock along with thick overdrive and multi-effects from 5 banks of 82 presets with 7-Band EQ, Distortion, Compressor, Flanger, Phaser, Chorus, Octaver, Delay, Reverb and more. A bass canceller removes recorded bass parts allowing you to be the bassist for your favorite bands. Monitoring is via 1/8-inch headphone output. A tuner, metronome, and rechargeable battery are also built-in. All of this is packed into a stompbox size device smaller than a stomp box, so can stuff it your gig bag and hit the road.

The MP-BT1 uses a high-speed USB connection to load up MP3s files and charge the built-in lithium ion battery, though an optional power supply is also available. A data wheel, graphical LCD and dedicated buttons means quick and easy locating of a song from your MP3 collection. The Tascam MP-BT1 bass trainer will run 9 hours on the built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery.
