The Tascam 2488neo 24-track hard disk digital audio workstation improves on the popular Tascam 2488 mk2, adding CD mastering effects and new styling to an already amazing recording solution! With the Tascam 2488Neo digital multitrack recorder, you can record, mix and master audio on an 80GB hard disk and make audio and backup CDs with the internal CD-RW drive.
The 24-bit Tascam 2488 Neo workstation features an 80GB hard drive, 8 mic inputs, built-in effects, and the ability to function as a 36-channel digital mixer. The 2488Neo adds a multiband compressor and mastering effects for finishing tracks before burning a finished CD with the onboard CD-RW drive.
A new mastering effect onboard the Tascam 2488neo digital portastudio includes multi-band EQ, compression and limiting, and noise shaping for professional-sounding mixes which can be burned to CD or transferred to a Mac or PC through the USB 2.0 jack. Built for musicians who want to record without fussing with a computer, the Tascam 2488neo workstation continues Tascam's tradition of easy-to-use Portastudios for home recording.
The Tascam 2488neo workstation features an 80GB hard drive, enough for hours of 44.1kHz/24-bit recording. Eight microphone inputs, four with XLR and +48V phantom power for powering studio condenser microphones, can be assigned to any track for recording large bands. A front panel mounted 1/4-inch Hi-Z guitar input jack for connecting electric guitars or basses. A reverb effect, multi effect with guitar amp simulation, and up to 9 compressors are also included.
