The EKS XP5 PAIR are lightweight plug-and-play digital DJ controllers / audio interfaces by EKS, a Finnish audio company with a long history in high-end audio re-production. Each XP5 is a portable solution for serious digital-age DJs looking for top-notch sound and professional-level features at an affordable price. Install the included DJ Software, connect the XP5's to your computer with the USB cable, use the software to locate an audio file on your computer and then experiment with sound. Each XP-5 has a high-precision 4-1/4 inch jog wheel for easy cueing, scratching, speed, and pitch variations. It also has a 100mm ALPS pitch slider with a selectable pitch range of 8/16/32% and four user-definable buttons that can be configured to control almost any parameter of DJ software. The EKS XP5 has an optimal layout for controlling external DJ software. With MIDI mapper, the XP5 can be easily configured to work with your favourite DJ applications or accompanying EKS Bison/Traktor 3 LE DJ software.

XP5 is also supported natively by an increasing number of major software developers. The XP5 provides a flexible approach to building a DJ setup. It allows the user to select a mixer of their preference, but can also be configured to work as an all-in-one control device. The XP5 has an integrated high-quality USB soundcard/audio interface with audio RCA-output, and so can be used either with an external soundcard or as a stand-alone deck. Included with the XP5 is a free copy of Bison DJ and Traktor 3 LE DJ software. Bison gives your XP-5 incredible vinyl emulation with support for precise speed, time stretch, and pitch shift adjustments. Cue, loop, and track information is stored automatically, and, with seamless looping, you can adjust loop points on-the-fly. The interactive displays feature indicators and a browser panel to make finding and playing files much easier so you can concentrate more on your mix. (Bison currently only runs in Windows, but Mac compatability is planned.)

NI's TRAKTOR 3 LE DJ software, based on the award-winning TRAKTOR 3, is a smaller version of TRAKTOR, offering two decks and an integrated 2-channel mixer, Auto-sync, beat-accurate loops, and a host of other forward-thinking features and effects will have you mixing liquid sets in no time! You can upgrade from TRAKTOR 3 LE to the full TRAKTOR 3 version for a great discount. The EKS XP5 weighs less than 400 grams, but is packed with all the features of bigger and heavier DJ equipment.
