The Hofner Contemporary Series Violin Bass is a contemporary replica of the bass that Paul McCartney still plays on stage today – still featuring the original 1962 neck profile for guaranteed playability and classic tone.

Constructed with a sustain block inside the body for modern, punchy, deep-resonating bass sounds, and using the original Hofner Staple-Top pick-ups, the Hofner HCT500/1 is affordable and couples authentic Hofner design with the latest manufacturing techniques. The Violin Bass is part of Hofner's contemporary series of electric guitars based on the famous models of the past, and is perfect for stage, studio and any genre of music.
